A short, leisurely walk along the waterfront takes you to the city centre where you can browse through Geelong's shopping precinct and wine & dine at one of the many cafes, restaurants or bars. With settlement dating back to the 1850's, Geelong has plenty of historical sites to visit and contrast to the modern developments of today. With a population of over 200 000, the city is big enough to have all you need, but with a more laid back approach to work and recreation than you would see in the capitals.
